This is no time for ease and comfort, it is time to endure -

Winston Churchill

One of the greatest things about repentance is it removes everything one has in common with Satan

This world has no future but judgment so why be locked to it? It is time to act like citizens of heaven.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

They held the truth as a captive or prisoner, that it should not influence them, as otherwise it would.

Until we come to terms with war as the context of our days we will not understand life. We will misinterpret 90 percent of what is happening around us and to us. It will be hard to believe that God's intentions toward us are life abundant."

Both L.A. and San Francisco were two of the cities I saw that had almost entirely vanished. I then saw those cities tied to a worldwide economic meltdown.    read more

It is not possible to understand the coming of God’s kingdom without understanding His judgments because Scripture is clear that He is coming to judge the earth. As the Scriptures also make clear, this is a good thing, not something to be afraid of, unless we are evil. Consider this first mention of God’s judgments in Scripture in Exodus 6:6:

"I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments."

There is a love so deep man has never explored but in this season the Father will begin to teach us how to love the unlovely and those who betray us. We will learn how love to back to life those who are dying by natural and spiritual deaths.   read more

This repentance will lead to the most valuable commodity on earth in the times to come—true peace and true joy. This is why, as we read in Isaiah 60:3, the nations will come to the brightness of your rising. The light will win, and the nations will come to the light, not stay in darkness. Let us live in that light now, and share it with all we can.        read more

Yet here I was, staring at the woman at the ticket counter and I couldn’t ignore that voice inside any longer. I’d promised to do this and she was my stranger. I mustered up my nerve and walked up to her. She’s going to think I’m crazy.     read more

God began to challenge me with His love for our enemies. He said ‘Dan, ask Me what I think about this man.’  And He asked me the question about the man who was my interrogator, the man who beat me, the man who seemed to hate me the most.       read more

The reason that marriage is so painful and yet wonderful is because it is a reflection of the Gospel, which is painful and wonderful at once. The Gospel is—we are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared to believe, and at the very same time we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope.       read more

When I first read in Isaiah 6 about the cherubim who stood day and night before the throne saying, “Holy, holy, holy! The whole earth is filled with His glory” (see Isaiah 6:3), I wondered how they could say that the world was filled with His glory with all of the wars, disease, child abuse, poverty, and hunger. Then I heard the Lord say, “They could say this because they dwelt in My presence. When you dwell in My presence, you will see My glory in everything.” In the world there will be tribulation, but for those who are abiding in the Lord they will be seeing His glory.      read more

But there is room to complain about cowardly governments, who refuse to reveal the truth to their citizens and deal with the harsh realities of their situation. No government can hand out money without destroying the economy. No country can guarantee banks, save big industries and eliminate unemployment by hiring its citizens.    read more

Several years ago, I was shown in a dream that one of the gates of hell into our nation was opened by the dishonoring of fathers and fatherhood. I was told in the dream that if we would honor fathers again, God would bring revival to our country. Without revival, we are not likely to survive much longer.   read more

Ability to delay gratification also allows some people acquire wealth and, instead of using it immediately to obtain stuff, invest that wealth in the hopes that they will have even more wealth, but at a later date, and perhaps pass it on to their children.    read more
